Carrol's Rest Home was founded in 1989 by Ralph & Carrol Williams. Carrol worked in the field of home nursing for many years and it was her dream to operate her own personal care home based on strong, traditional Christian values. Ralph and Carrol had five children, and the entire family supported Carrol and helped her to achieve her dream. From it's inception in 1989 until today, Carrol's Rest Home has always taken pride in providing a loving, compassionate and caring atmosphere to all it's residents.
Originally built to meet the needs of eight residents, Carrol's Rest Home can presently accommodate twenty-seven residents. Carrol was successful in making a "home away from home" environment that was appreciated by resident and their families.
In 2008, Carrol was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma. After undergoing countless and ultimately unsuccessful treatments, Carrol went to be with the Lord on December 26, 2012. During her battle with cancer, Carrol spent many hours in prayer seeking guidance in locating a new owner for the rest home. It was very important to Carrol that she find someone who would care for the residents as if they were family. Carrol's prayers were answered when her daughter Susie purchased the home in December 2012. Carrol's heart was at peace, being assured that Susie would continue to operate the facility with the same devotion, dedication, love and compassion that Carrol started in 1989.
